| to all parents:
you are amazing! how do u deal with dirty diapers, barf, and all the other unpleasanteries that come along with parenthood?
i can deal with teaching kids, playing with them, and discipline issues (i've learned to build up a tough skin: "GO SIT DOWN! BE QUIET! TAKE YOUR FINGERS OUT OF YOUR NOSE!"), and on occasion, i can handle dead bug problems. for that, all you have to do is just cover it with a paper towel and wha lah! no more bug to be seen. problem solved. but peeing, pooing or barfing disasters.... i can't do it. i just can't! i might be able to do a diaper change if it's just pee, but i can't wipe a dirty butt without gagging, especially if it's plastered onto the butt cuz the kid pooed in his pants and smashed it down by sitting....
how am i going to be a good parent if i can't even wipe a dirty butt...? i get grossed out even looking at dog poo. as silly as this might seem, i had a real eye opener today and a new appreciation for parents by just having to deal with a poo incident. that was one of the most grown up things i've had to do yet. | | |

| hhmm... it's been over 2 months of bumming since i've finished school and received my credential. but now that i'm going to start subbing and have been applying for jobs in the 2008-2009 school year, i'm getting cold feet! am i really cut out to be a teacher? will i be able to get a good job at a good school? will my students like me???
oh gosh... so many insecurities. now that i'm finally done with school, i wanna go back and not have to deal with the real world of working... ahh!!!
after teaching a class of 35 4th graders, i know i have it in me to be stern when i need to, and to be a friend when i need to, but my heart still has doubts.
all i want is to be a good teacher.
